I am Ziqian Hu, founder of ProMfg Hub, based in Suzhou.
I started my career in sales. That experience taught me one thing: understanding the needs customers don't explicitly state is more important than being articulate. Later, I transitioned into the manufacturing supply chain, responsible for order tracking, factory audits, and process reviews. Only then did I truly understand the complexity behind these eight words — "deliver a batch of qualified parts on time."
I adhere to one principle: promised time is the bottom line, not the target. Every project milestone must have a clear owner and contingency plan. When managing NPI projects, I maintain this habit — from drawing review to final delivery, every stage has time anchors and responsible persons. Customers don't need to chase progress updates.
